Cycling holidays in the South Downs National Park

There are so many on and off road cycle routes near our Hampshire farm.🚴‍♂️

South Downs Way

The 100 mile (160 Km) long South Downs Way follows the old routes and droveways along the chalk escarpment and ridges of the South Downs. Enjoy the stunning long distance views, picturesque villages, thatched pubs and cosy tea rooms.

To cycle the South Downs Way takes 2 or 3 days if you are used to off road cycling. It is possible to do it in a day but that’s an extreme challenge! There’s about 12,600ft (3800m) of climb as well as the 100 miles (160km) of distance.

To pick up the South Downs Way from from the farm it is a stunning 12 mile route that starts at nearby Buriton and goes over to Winchester Hill.

The Shipswright Way

This is a 50 mile route that starts in Bentley near Farnham and goes all the way south to Portsmouth Historic Dockyards . For our farm guests it starts at Petersfield and goes south to Queen Elizabeth Country Park on to Hayling Island and then finishing in Portsmouth.

Alternatively just head out of the farm and explore the miles and miles of gorgeous country lanes that we are surrounded by!
